REMANUFACTURING PROCESS
Following is the typical process we use to remanufacture used winches and hoists.
INITIAL PREPARATION The winch is completely disassembled, inspected for wear on gears, bearings, shafts, etc. All of the preceding components are thoroughly inspected to assure they are in very good, used condition. If they are found to be damaged or worn beyond acceptable tolerances they are replaced.
PAINT We sandblast the existing frame to white metal. Prior to reassembly the machine is then painted with our exclusive 3-part corrosion-resistant paint process including an epoxy coat in the color (within reason) of your choice to insure maximum duribility and protection.
FRICTION AND BRAKE BAND LININGS The friction and brake band linings are replaced with new high-quality, non-asbestos lining material.
BEARINGS All bearings are thoroughly inspected to insure that they are not worn beyond acceptable tolerences. If damage or wear is discovered, they are replaced.
CHAIN & GEAR CASES, SPROCKET & CHAIN If purchased without power, the unit will include chain case, main drive sprocket, pinion sprocket and chain. Chain and gear cases are built new with 10 or 11 gauge steel. All cases are painted inside and out.
GEAR GUARD We include gear guards, built new, that reduce the possibility of the cable becoming meshed in the gears. All gear guards are painted inside and out.
AIR SYSTEM & AIR CONTROL STATION If the unit is an air-controlled machine it will be air-controlled on all functions; frictions, brakes & dogs. All air cans and air controls are new. The air control console is built to a specified dimension and is remotable to a distance of up to 100 feet, if desired, for pilothouse applications.
LIFTING BRACKETS The machine will have 4-point lifting brackets for easy lifting, reocating and placement.
PARTS & REPLACEMENT PARTS All parts, including pins, bolts, nuts, shafts, etc., are anti-seized for ease of disassembly.
Most replacement parts are available from our inventory or can be fabricated or manufactured expediently.
